The CBU 56th Annual General Assembly take place from Monday, August 18, to Wednesday, August 20, 2025. Conference sessions will be held at the Hilton Barbados Resort in Bridgetown, Barbados.

Accommodation
The Barbados Hilton Resort is approximately twenty (20) minutes away from the Grantley Adams International Airport by road – just over 15 km.
Check-in is 4:00 PM and check-out is 11:00 AM.
Hotel facilities are accessible to wheelchairs. Fully adapted accommodation for disabled persons is limited. For any special needs – including dietary requirements – please inform the Hotel accordingly.

Travel Arrangements
You should plan your travel to arrive in Barbados in time for the Delegates Tour which starts at 10.00 AM on Monday August 18, 2025.
The CBU has arranged discounted air travel to and from Barbados on LIAT 2020, the official air carrier of the 56th Annual General Assembly.

In addition, CBU delegates travelling on LIAT 2020 will receive a free luggage allowance:
- Checked luggage: 1 piece at maximum 50 lbs per passenger
- Carry-on: 1 piece at maximum 15 lbs per passenger
Transfers On Arrival
- Ground transportation from the Grantley Adams International Airport to the hotel is available by taxi service with a dispatcher immediately outside the arrival lounge.
- Arriving By Air : In case of need upon arrival, the Information Desk at the airport will be able to assist you. The Information Desk is located in the Arrival Lounge of the Airport.
Visa Guidance
It is important that participants check passport and visa requirements for Barbados in due time before departure.
CARICOM passport holders are NOT subject to the visa obligations to enter Barbados. Delegates who are NOT CARICOM passport holders may be subject to visa obligations. Send a scanned copy of your national passport to info@caribroadcastunion.org no later than June 28, 2025 for preparation of an invitation letter to ease your visa release process.

Tipping & Taxis
Tipping in Barbados is generally not required, but it is appreciated in restaurants and cafés.
Taxis: Are widely available.
Business Hours
- Shops: Monday through Saturday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm; closed on Sundays.
- Banks: Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 2.00 PM; closed on weekends.
- ATMs: widely available.
Weather & Time Zone
Barbados has tropical weather. Temperatures are uniformly high, as is the relative humidity. The average early morning minimum is 25 C and the afternoon maximum 31 C. Kindly note however that meeting rooms are air conditioned and colder.
Barbados is in the GMT Standard Time zone (GMT/UTC 4)
Meeting Attire
Business wear suitable for a tropical climate is appropriate. However, conference rooms will be air-conditioned, and delegates should dress appropriately for these sessions.
