CARIBBEAN BROADCASTING UNION WELCOMES NEW MEMBER – COLUMBUS COMMUNICATIONS (FLOW) TRINIDAD & TOBAGO
The President of the Caribbean Broadcasting Union (CBU) Mrs. Shida Bolai today welcomed the latest media entity to join the ranks of the Union.
The newest CBU member is Columbus Communications (Flow) of Trinidad and Tobago. This addition brings the Union’s membership roll to forty-seven (47).
In applying to join the CBU, the company, which provides subscription television, broadband and phone services, noted its primary interest in developing and strengthening relationships with Caribbean media organizations.
In welcoming Flow Trinidad and Tobago, the CBU President noted that the Union, while fulfilling its obligations to traditional broadcasters, is also emphasising out-reach to other members of the Caribbean’s electronic media. At its August 2015 Annual General Assembly, the Union approved changes to the By-Laws to expand the categories of membership to include newspapers, magazines, on-line publications and other media.
